The 2025 WIA Bronze Medalists, and 2026 WIO Finalists!

LSM WEST was launched prior to the 2025 season with the intent to provide incredible performance opportunities and training to even more youth and young adults.

​

This ensemble competes in the Winds Independent Open Class, participates in the Michigan Alliance for Performing Arts competitions, and travels to WGI Regional events and WGI World Championships each year.  ​​

Rick & Renee Duran

Class of 2025

Rick and Renee Duran have been integral members of the LSM family, consistently contributing their time and unwavering support to our programs.

 

Rick has assisted with transportation logistics, including helping to pull trailers and ensuring equipment arrives safely to every event.

 

Renee has played a multifaceted role, supporting prop painting, assisting with uniforms, serving as Treasurer on the LSM Board of Directors, and providing steady encouragement to staff and students.

​

Both Rick and Renee are a constant presence at nearly every LSM event, exemplifying dedication, reliability, and genuine care for the organization and its members. Their behind-the-scenes commitment and long-standing service have made a lasting impact on LSM’s success and culture.

Chris Martinez

Class of 2025

Chris Martinez has been a consistent and enthusiastic presence within the LSM family, always finding ways to support the team and elevate the experience for performers and staff alike.

He began as LSM's unofficial “Hype Man™️,” helping energize the crowd and build excitement before each performance, and later expanded his role to include assisting with hauling trailers and helping at other LSM events

.

Even after his own child was no longer a member of LSM, Chris continued to show up at events, bringing the same energy and support for the organization. During the 2025 Winds season, when additional help was needed on short notice, he stepped in immediately to drive a trailer to Dayton and continued to support and energize LSM throughout finals.

​

Chris consistently gives his time, energy, and enthusiasm without hesitation. His dedication, positivity, and willingness to help wherever needed have made him a valued and memorable part of LSM.
